President Museveni has admitted having many people that do things that are forbidden by Allah particularly eating forbidden foods like pork.

While speaking at the Global Peace conference yesterday at Speke Resort, Munyonyo, Museveni cautioned delegates on the major causes of conflicts in their countries citing group chauvinism and intolerance as some of the major issues, especially in Europe and Middle East countries.

Museveni further argued that tribes in Africa are more tolerant and that is why there are minimal conflicts here.

“In Africa, the tribes are more tolerant. I have told my Muslim friends that I have a longer list of haram than them but why would I attack someone for choosing to eat what I don’t eat?”

“This tolerance, however, is missing in Europe and the Middle East and it causes a lot of trouble. People should not seek to impose their views and cultures on others. There should be respect for everybody’s identity.”
