NBS TV buys off Jazz FM

When NBS TV launched their online news site sometime last year, the station CEO- Kin Karisa announced that the formation of a media group dubbed- Next Media  Services.  Kin’s aspiration is to have a 360 degree media network under one management.

Well, keeping true to the dream, they earlier launched an online radio, Nile Cast. Well, it seems the online radio thing is ‘yet-to-arrive’ in Uganda. The smart guys at Next Media Services went back to the drawing board and guess what? They dipped their hands in their pockets once again!

As we speak, Next Media Services has acquired Jazz FM! Yes, they have bought off 106.1 Jazz FM. Our sources established that they acquired the radio at a staggering fee in the region of Shs2.5b!

Also, our sources revealed that the station will debut in September!
