Forum for Democratic Change president Hon. Patrick Amuriat Oboi has come out to refute Gen Mugisha Muntu’s reasons for leaving the party. According to Amuriat, the party did not want any member to quit as he said; “As FDC, we’re a party of opportunities, we gave them an opportunity to stay but they resolved to leave.”

Amuriat continues to say that Muntu should not blame his failure to exercise his power as  president.

“No body refused Gen Muntu from exercising his responsibility as president. Besides a postion of president calls for a number of challenges as a person, he should have stood up and tackled them. I think Gen. Muntu is just giving excuses about his non-performance,”Amuriat said.

POA also recalled Muntu’s conceding speech saying; “He promised to back and work with me for the wellbeing of FDC but a year later we see him breaking off”.
