Fashion enthusiasts will have a chance to learn from one of Africa’s finest and some of the biggest names in fashion as Uganda’s biggest red carpet event; Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards (ASFAs) holds first ever fashionpreneur summit ahead of the awards ceremony in December.

The first of its kind one-day red carpet event will be held on October 27 at Naguru Skyz Hotel in Kampala and will focus on the role of fashion, the creative industry in shaping the future of the country’s economy.

Participants will receive expert tips and insights on how to monetize their projects, seek funding, market their brands and manage their finances.

The organisers confirmed that the Ciroc-sponsored summit will feature the accomplished South African fashion designer David Tlale who has showcased in South Africa and on some of the hottest runways like at the Paris Fashion Week and the New York Fashion Week among others.

Tlale will speak alongside celebrated radio presenter and news anchor Flavia Tumusiime, fashion designer Santa Anzo – the man behind  Arapapa Fashions, make-up guru Mona Umutoni of Mona Faces and Bernard Mukasa, a specialist in corporate commercial law, intellectual property and employment law at ENS Africa.

“We have brought together experts who are excited to share their knowledge and practical skills on how to turn creative projects into income-generating businesses,” said Brian Ahumuza, proprietor and founder of the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards.

Guests should expect nothing short of the luxury and oomph synonymous with all Ciroc-infused events,” said Annette Nakiyaga, Head of Luxury Portfolio at Uganda Breweries Limited.

“This summit is an opportunity for us to be part of something different that is going to inspire future fashion moguls and entrepreneurs to do better and grow the industry. As the ultimate celebration drink, we are thrilled as Ciroc for once again being a part of the ASFAs, she added.

The event will run from 2 pm to 5 pm and will wind up with the nominees unveiling cocktail starting at 6 pm until late. Entry to the summit is strictly by registration. You can register to attend here.

This year’s Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards will be held at Kampala Serena Hotel on December 7, 2018.
