EXCLUSIVE: Army arrests Development Channel boss at Silver Springs Hotel

After having an hour exclusive interview with Matooke Republic at Silver Springs Hotel in Bugolobi, the Development Channel boss, Charles Nwabuikwu Lambert has been arrested.

According to eyewitnesses at the hotel, the army officers carried Lambert shoulder high after hours of pleading with him to follow them in vain.

The army spokesperson, Brig. Richard Karemire told Matooke Republic that he was not aware of Lambert’s arrest but assured the newspaper that he would follow up and report about any progress.

Those who saw Lambert getting arrested alleged that the army officers who apprehended him were from State House and had earlier arrested a one John Paul who was in charge of his making payments to the media and customers who bought the No Drop Out Tablet and mobile phones.

While talking to Matooke Republic, Lambert had intimated how he is funding President Yoweri Museveni and how he can’t wait for 2021 to finance the president’s campaigns.

His arrest comes at the backdrop of closing Development Channel’s offices in both Kitintale and Bukoto for a new investment that will be unveiled in the exclusive interview in on Thursday.

Lambert was taken Jinja Road Police Station together with his newly-wed Kenyan wife only identified as Carol who also was the Social Media boss at Development Channel.
