Black Pirates battle Betway Kobs recently in the Uganda Cup

Following a week-long break for most of the teams in the Rugby Premiership race, the rugby fraternity will this weekend have it all as teams battle for early festive season advantage.

Being the early Saturday kick-off, high flying and second-placed DUSUPAY Warriors will be hoping to re-enjoy top of table for the second time this season as it faces Toyota Buffaloes.

However, with hardboiled Hima Cement Heathens playing against Walukuba Barbarian, Warriors will not have enough time to warm the top spot if all fixtures go as anticipated.

The rugby festive cracker will be the game between Black Pirates and Betway Kobs at Legends. Both sides will be battling to stay in sight with the top pack of Heathens and Warriors. The sides last met this year in the Uganda Cup final where Kobs made light of Pirates’ dominance to win the game 20-14.

After that final, Pirates’ tactician Bob Musinguzi said; “Definitely we will be back and whoever thinks that we are weak should wait for us in the league.” The wait gets over this Saturday.
