The Pentecostal faith under their umbrella, the Born Again Faith Federation led by Dr Joseph Serwadda, have vowed not to obey Minister Simon Lokodo’s law that will see all Born Again churches registered and pastors forced to study Theology.

The Victory Church lead, Apostle Serwadda says their churches existed even before the National Resistance Movement (NRM) came to power adding that there are no grounds for forcing them to register now.

The furious Serwadda also added that their churches operate within the Laws of Uganda which give every citizen to freedom of worship and association.

“Born Again churches have always been regulated by their Federation. I see no reason for the minister to wake up now. If the issue is about registration, all religions must be subjected to the task. Why only Born Again churches?” asked Serwadda.

Fr. Lokodo has been having a verbal exchange with several Born Again pastors after he revealed that government is pushing a policy that will help eliminate fake religious institutions and individuals who exploit believers.

According to Lokodo, anyone who claims to be an Apostle, a Pastor, a Reverend, a Prophet must have clearance from a mainstream church and clear theological background.
