The movie ‘27 Guns’ has been the talk of Ugandans since the 33rd anniversary of the NRA/M’s rise to power over the weekend. Thanks to the fact that to mark the anniversary, most local TV stations broadcast the movie at some moment over the weekend.

However yet, it’s not been very good publicity for the movie that tells the story of the 41 men who with 27 guns, under the leadership of then youthful revolutionary Yoweri Kaguta Museveni , embarked on a guerilla war to liberate Uganda. After watching 27 Guns, most Ugandans had far-from-flattering comments and reviews to make. Most comments generally judged the movie to be a cup full of mediocrity, while others reckoned that with the resources and privileges the production team had they should have done a much better job.

Matooke Republic gathered for you some of the hard-hitting comments and reviews Ugandans made about the film across social media:h
