Earlier today, Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) received an award from university student leaders from across East Africa, before he went on to give the keynote address at the student leaders’ 3rd Annual Conference held at the Mandela Institute of Science and Technology in Arusha, Tanzania.

The student leaders recognized Hon. Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) as an iconic leader who inspires them as youth to act for the cause of good leadership and progress in their communities.

The People Power chief’s address focused on the role of young Africans in shaping the future of their countries and continent. Bobi Wine told the student leaders how he was excited to interact with young Africans who are gathered together not to do anything else but to discuss the future of Africa.

“I charged them to understand that Africa’s problem has all along never been it’s people, it’s climate or anything else, but has always been squarely a failure of leadership,” Hon. Kyagulanyi told Matooke Republic.

“I told them that we must work so hard to change the fortunes of our people, otherwise we shall have betrayed them. I called upon them to discover their mission and fulfill it when they are still young and still have the opportunity. Finally, I challenged them to not only be hearers, but doers of what has been discussed at the conference,” Bobi Wine added.
