The music fraternity is set to celebrate four years since the passing of AK47 at DNA Longue this Friday (March 14) in a show dubbed ‘A Tribute Night for AK47 Dancehall party’.

A statement released by the Kololo-based night-spot indicates that the night dedicated to remembering and honouring the legacy of AK47 will feature DJs King, Ras Brown and Urban Star; while a string of unnamed artistes will perform in memory of the youngest ‘singing Mayanja’ who died at the early age of 25.

Emmanuel Mayanja, popularly known as AK47, mysteriously died on March 16, 2015, under circumstances that to this day remain quite unclear. Upon his demise there were allegations that the singer was first beaten up before he later fell down and died in the bathroom of a local bar called Dejavu, in Kansanga.
