Another top manager at DFCU Bank throws in the towel

Denis Kibuuka Musoke, who has been the head of consumer banking has tendered his resignation.  Information reaching us is that he is set to join Top Finance Bank.

According to sources, Musoke resigned due to internal fights at the troubled bank.

Just last month Dr. Winifred Tarinyeba Kiryabwire, who had been a director on the board of Dfcu bank resigned and left the board of the bank.

The bank’s Head of Legal Agnes Tibayeyita Isharaza also quit last month and she is now head of legal services at the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).

 It has been a stormy time at DFCU following its 2017 take-over of Crane Bank.

An Auditor General’s report into the closure and takeover of seven commercial banks including Crane Bank and Global Trust Bank that DFCU took over pointed to illegalities and possible corruption.

Following the report, Parliament’s Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) carried out a probe which confirmed several irregularities including the banks having sold via phone!
