Bobi Wine’s lawyer and fellow legislator Medard Lubega Ssegona has revealed that his client will not respond to Police summons to report to CID for interrogation today, since he has been enduring very tedious and stress-filled schedules for the past few days.

Bobi Wine was today at 1pm expected to report to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation at Katwe Police Station for interrogation, as per Police summons. The summons was sent to the Kyadondo East MP over incitement of violence and holding an unlawful assembly.

Ssegona says even yesterday, Bobi Wine had a long trip to Bugiri where he attended a burial and for this he needs more time for himself. He also says that police had all the time to get a statement from him while they were putting him under house arrest.

Police on its part says the charges he is supposed to answer to at CID today are part of the reasons why he has been under house arrest at his home in Magere, Kasangati, Wakiso district since April 23, and that he should show up and answer them.
