South African-based Mafikizolo star Nhlanhla Nciza has today announced the end of her 15-year-old marriage to music mogul Thembinkosi ‘TK’ Nciza.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Nciza said that the decision to end their union was amicable and assured their fans that they would remain on good terms.

“After almost 15 years of our strong bond of marriage, my husband TK Nciza and I have come to a tough but amicable decision to bring an end to our union. I am thankful for the support we have given each other over the years while raising our children. We shall remain on good terms and continue our endeavour to be great and exemplary parents to our children.

We appreciate the support we’ve received from family and friends. At this stage, we would like to appeal for privacy, particularly for the sake of our children. We thank you,” the post read.

The couple has three sons, Nkululeko, Thamsanqa and Luvuyo. They lost their daughter Zinathi in a car crash in 2009.

The announcement comes as a shock as a few days ago, Nhlanhla paid tribute to TK on Father’s Day, thanking him for being a good role model to their sons. In 2013, the Mafikizolo’s Khona song was a club banger in the country.
