Bobi Wine’s promoter Bajjo granted bail; President Museveni expected to appear in the next case hearing

The Buganda Road Chief Magistrate, Stella Amabilis has granted bail to Bobi Wine’s promoter, Andrew Mukasa, also known as Bajjo Events.

Amabilis agreed with the submission of the applicant’s Counsel Erias Lukwago saying that bail is a constitutional right and granted Bajjo a cash bail of Shs4 million. The court retained the original national IDs of the 3 sureties plus a non-cash bond of Shs20 million each.

“It’s a pleasure seeing Bajjo regain his freedom,” Lukwago told journalists outside court.

Bajjo in court.

The Kampala Lord Major also revealed how President Museveni will make an appearance in the next court hearing of the case.

“Gen. Museveni is expected to take to the witness stand to show how he was angered and offended by Bajjo’s statements,” he said. The matter has been adjourned to July 25 for mention.
