The Uganda She Cranes missed a chance of getting to the semi finals of the 2019 Netball World Cup after they were outscored by South African last night.

South Africa set the pace with an early lead in the first quarter of the match winning it 19 – 10. Uganda then raised their game in the second quarter outscoring their opponents 13 -12 but the gap set by South Africa in the first quarter was big enough to help them take a 31 – 23 lead at half time.

This score meant that Uganda would only play catch up in the third and fourth quarters, but misplaced a few passes and missed goal scoring opportunities. South Africa capitalised on those errors to punish Uganda, eventually winning the match 67 – 40.
