NRM not shaken by Bobi Wine’s presidential bid because we command the highest number of voters in Uganda – NRM Spokesperson Rogers Mulindwa

Earlier today, MP Robert Kyagulanyi’s People Power movement unveiled a Coordination Team that will oversee the activities of the movement in a press conference held at Kyagulanyi’s residence in Magere. Kyagulanyi used the same time and space to announce his presidential bid come 2021 and the news has since been received with pleasure by People Power diehards.

However, this is not the case in the NRM camp. According to Rogers Mulindwa, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) spokesperson, he said that they are not shaken one bit by Kyagulanyi’s presidential bid because NRM commands the highest number of voters in Uganda.

“We are not shaken by Kyagulanyi’s presidential bid because People Power does not command the voters. It is NRM with the biggest number of voters in the country,” said Mulindwa while appearing in a TV interview.

Mulindwa also said that NRM will have a candidate to contest for every position in the country in the upcoming 2021 elections, and he is confident of the numbers they will rake in. Mulindwa went ahead to say that Kyagulanyi should be wary of independent MPs who defected from NRM because they wanted to be bigger than the party chairman Museveni.
