Two high school students from Mbale Secondary School and Mbale High school engaged in a bloody fist fight at the school premises. The outburst occurred after one of the students decided to attack the other who he accused of having an affair with his longtime girlfriend.

The sour exchange between the two boys attracted the attention of both schools forcing police to swing into action.

To curb the scuffle, police fired teargas to disperse the rowdy students. As a result, at least 50 students were injured and rushed to the nearby Mbale Municipality health centers where some were admitted.
