Mayorkun arrives in the Country a head of East Meets West Festival tomorrow

Nigerian star Mayorkun has arrived in the country a head of his performance tomorrow at the anticipated Afro-fusion festival dubbed “East meets West.”

The star who arrived in the country this morning will be the headlining act at the luxury day festival slated to take place tomorrow Saturday, August 17  at the Hockey grounds in Lugogo.

Happening for the First time, the event is an afro-fusion day festival that will be bringing East and West African creatives together annually to not only create art but also make magic happen through music.

The event that is sponsored by Johnnie Walker Highball is a mixed bag of East and West African artists from Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria with acts such as headlining act Mayorkun himself, Oxlade, Karyn, Irene Ntale, Lagum and many more others that are lined up for the Festival.

Irene Ntale will be performing at the festival.

Aside from musical acts, the event will also include cultural presentations with opportunities given to fashion vendors, food vendors and arts and craft stalls and cultural exhibitions including a line-up of some of Uganda’s coolest DJ’s like DJ Simples, DJ Teyi and many more.

Tickets go for Shs100,000 at the gate.
