NRM National Treasurer Rose Namayanja got a scare yesterday when two fires broke out at her residence in Kasangati only a few hours apart, destroying property in her house.

Matooke Republic has learnt that the first fire broke out on Thursday evening at the section that houses the gym about 30 meters from the main house, ravaging all her gym equipment.

The second scare came yesterday on Friday morning when fire broke out in the living room in the main house and extended to the main bedroom.

The good news is that no one suffered any injuries from the two fire incidents as Namayanja, her husband and other household members managed to escape out of the house unscathed.

The incidents were confirmed by NRM Spokesperson Rogers Mulindwa who said that the cause of the double fires is not yet known but the Fire Department of Police has already started investigating the matter.

“A joint team of experts led by Uganda Police have already embarked on the investigations and the home remains a scene of crime for now. We glorify the living God for His merciful hands that shielded this family,” said Mulindwa.
