We know that alcohol plays an important role in society, however we shall have to discuss the different roles another day. The latest weird but brilliant invention is that cars will soon be consuming water and alcohol as fuel.

In Jerusalem, an 81-year-old man Yehuda Shmueli and his two sons claim they’ve developed a system in their garage that allows a diesel or gasoline engine to run on a mix of water and alcohol.

The trio formed, MayMaan Research, and it has taken them six years to come up with the exciting invention.

“We decided that this is the right time to expose ourselves and talk to people and let the world know that such a solution exists,” Yehuda Shmueli said in an interview.

He said their system engine takes 70 percent water and 30 percent ethanol which it converts into “a powerful and clean-burning fuel within the engine’s combustion chamber.”

The trio also revealed that even the existing engine designs can be converted to work with water and ethanol mixture fuel. However, they said the engines need “simple yet sophisticated modifications.”

As exciting as this system sounds, we anticipate a stiff competition between individuals and cars when it comes to who consumes highest.
