Keeping Live Music Alive with Johnnie Walker’s All Music Safari

It is no doubt that everyone of us has a particular kind of music genre that appeals to or ‘vibes’ and fuels our soul. This year, Johnnie Walker is promising a sensational musical concert that many Ugandan music lovers are excitedly anticipating dubbed the “30th All Music Safari.” It slated to take place on November 30 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.

Veteran music promoter Tshaka Mayanja, the man behind the Jazz and Soul Safaris will mark his 30th anniversary in the business at the concert that will be headlined by American singer, songwriter, Mýa.

Addressing media at a press conference held on Friday October 25 at Industrial based nightclub, Guvnor, Tshaka Mayanja, revealed his delight in bringing music lovers different sessions of entertainment and music genres in one big exciting concert.

“As we celebrate 30 years in the music industry, a gratifying milestone, we would like to assure our fans that this concert will be one unforgettably thrilling experience. We have put in outstanding work to bring you the most unique concert for all soulful music lovers out there,” said Mayanja.

The internationally acclaimed American artist, Mýa is widely recognized for her RnB musical prowess with several hit songs that speak to the soul like Take Me There, Case of the Ex and Girls Dem Sugar that have achieved the status of timeless classics. She will be performing for her first time in Uganda, sharing the stage with homegrown talents like Myko Ouma, Kenneth Mugabi and Joseph Sax amongst many others.

“This year’s All Music Safari will be exceptional. Johnnie Walker is excited to be bringing you a phenomenal artist like Mya who is truly an icon of progress and we are looking forward to an amazing evening,” said Annette Nakiyaga, Head of Luxury Portfolio at Uganda Breweries Limited, which is sponsoring the concert under its Johnnie Walker Gold Reserve brand.

Limited early bird tickets are on sale at UGX85,000 while Platinum/VIP tickets go for UGX300,000. Regular tickets will cost UGX100,000.

Confirmed selling points are at House of Walker, Sheraton, Shell Select Bugolobi, Shell Select Kira Road (Bukoto), Shell Select Kabalagala and Shell Select Lugogo.

4. A TRIBUTE TO MADILU SYSTEM: Chido Explosion Band from Congo.

5. REGGAE SESSION: The Roots Warriors Of Nnalubaale featuring Kenneth Mugabi, Generale Czar’bu and Joe Apuuli Kahirimbanyi
