I support People Power but I will not campaign for Bobi Wine in 2021 – Eddy Kenzo

After photos of his meeting with President Museveni hit social media, Eddy Kenzo says he got backlash messages from People Power supporters saying he had gone against them by accepting to meet the President.

During a press conference earlier today at Mestil Hotel, Nsambya, Kenzo revealed that he subscribes to no political affiliation because he is not a politician. He stretched that he only supports the slogan ‘People Power, Our Power’ since it designates that power belongs to the ordinary Ugandans.

“I come from the ghetto. It is the ghetto that made me. I associate with everything they love and that is why I support People Power,” Kenzo said.

Kenzo said that campaigning for Museveni in 2011 general elections and later Bobi Wine in 2017 negatively affected his fans.

“I am a musician who is supported by people from different political parties in Uganda,” Kenzo said as he disclosed that he can no longer campaign for any politician.

“Bobi Wine is my friend and I support him but I will not even campaign for him in 2021 because I no longer want to take sides. I only come out to complain on issues that affect majority of Ugandans,” he stated.
