A famous man once said that sometimes the weirdest ideas can turn out to be the very best. Ok that famous man is me. ‘Sikyo’, the song by Kapa Cat, real name Catherine Tumusiime is a result of a weird idea that came to the young musician to ask questions about the irony of life.

Sikyo was written by Kapa Cat herself and produced by Kiyimba Felix trading under the psuedonym Felix Pro from Actone Records, who sampled Nicki Minaj’s Magatron.

Sikyo loosely translates as ‘Not so?’, and Kapa Cat asks us rhetoric questions where the answer is actually in the question.

You have probably seen a devoted Christian lady in your neighbourhood, sikyo? She doesn’t sleep around, sikyo? You are surprised when you see her pregnant, sikyo? Kyekyo. Those are some of the lines in the song.

It is a truly catchy song with funny lines and Felix Pro gave it a dance-worthy beat so it is no surprise that the song has made it to almost all DJs’ playlists around town. You have probably already heard it playing in your favourite kafunda, sikyo?
