It is becoming normal for singer-turned-politician, Hon Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine to receive international recognition as he is getting named on almost every famous international list.

The latest we have gathered indicates that Bobi Wine has been named amongst the world’s most influential people on the 2019 TIME 100 Next list. Bobi Wine was put under the category of the ‘Phenoms.’

Reading up on why the People Power Movement leader made it to the list, the website says, “Bobi spent his career singing about social injustice. In 2017, he decided to take things a step further by running for, and winning, a seat in Parliament. Now the 37-year-old singer, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, has set his sights higher, announcing in July that he will take on President Yoweri Museveni, who has ruled for the past 33 years through a combination of deft politics, questionable election practices and constitutional manipulation.”
