Police Flying Squad recovers 20 suspected stolen motorcycles following a raid in Kisenyi, six suspects arrested

With increased crime rates especially in the central district of Kampala, Police together with other sister security agencies are currently making abrupt raids around Kampala.

Yesterday evening, the Flying Squad attached to the Central Police Station (CPS) Kampala raided Kisenyi along Ring Road and recovered 20 suspected stolen motorcycles.

Police say six suspects were arrested and detained at CPS Kampala to help with investigations. These include; Assumani Sitakage, Muhagizi Daus, Ssegirinya Haby, Muwesi Ismail, Faruak Ssekyedu and Kawuki Gibson.

The recovered motorcycles.

Police reveals that they got a tip off by intelligence agencies that some shops in Kisenyi are being used as a base for buying and selling suspected stolen motor cycles.

“They are being held on charges of being in possession of suspected stolen properties,” Police say.

“We appeal to members of the public that if your motorcycle was stolen come to CPS Kampala and crosscheck with Flying Squad,” They added.
