One of the indicators of a country achieving a middle income status that President Museveni and his government promised us by 2040 is by producing products that match International standards and this is why Uganda National Bureau of Standards strongly enforces these standards to all Ugandan manufactures in all sectors.

Muhumuza energy drink.

In an effort to clamp down on activities of those few manufacturers that fail to adhere to the set standards by UNBS, the standards body has sealed of a factory that produces energy drinks in Mubende.

The factory makes an energy drink called ‘Muhumuza energy drink’ and according to UNBS, the environment within which they operate from is of poor hygiene, and the company was not even certified to produce this kind of drink.
