Open Mic Festival ends Gulu year on a high

Over the weekend, revellers in Gulu town were treated to an epic end of year bash at the 8th edition of the Open Mic Festival that took place at Fun city.

Dubbed the ‘End of year edition’, the neon-themed Tusker Lite-sponsored event was headlined by ‘the King herself’ Cinderella Sanyu  who created  quite a storm after she performed together with her Gulu diehard fans owning the stage and throwing an electrifying performance of some her biggest club bangers.

Somebody say yaayy…

The excitement was over the roof with many revellers being pulled off the stage in an attempt to dance with Cindy. She performed songs like Ayokyayokya, Copy Cat, One & Only, Dance hall her collaboration with Navio, Ndi mukodo ending her performance with Boom Party.

Guests and revellers at the event had surely packed along their wild side as it was clear that even rain could not stop their partying as many sang and danced to their hearts’ content. The Party Pipo Dance maestros later took the lead with their fun, crazy dance moves that left many entertained kicking off their shoes while grooving in tune.

Performances were closed by some of Gulu’s best like Allan Smokie, Otim Alfa, their performance was later followed by epic DJ mixes from DJ Crim throughout the night.

“It is always a pleasure bringing the Tusker Lite Neon experience to our upcountry consumers in a fun and exciting way. This edition has definitely brought us closer to our Gulu fans too and we cannot wait to do this once again,” said Philippa Nantamu Tusker Lite Brand Rep.

The Open Mic Fest also had revellers embracing their vocals as they attempted the karaoke music sessions that lit up the venue. The fun experience ultimately left many of the revellers impressed and excited by the many other activities like Face painting, FIFA videogames, 3D Cinema, outdoor games like Paintballing among many others that created the perfect intimate fun experience and lasting memories for many.
