Last week, we reported how former Presidential Press Secretary Joseph Tamale Mirundi was admitted at Kisubi Catholic Hospital after much persuasion by his close family for he had refused to be taken to any hospital in Uganda.

Miruindi is currently a senior Presidential Advisor on media affairs but reports indicate that the government has not made an effort to cover any of his medical bills, but that is nothing for him to worry about as he is running on zero balance now.

News reaching us is that City tycoon, business magnate and property mogul Dr Sudhir Ruparelia has cleared all Mirundi’s medical bills at Kisubi hospital to zero.

As chairman of the Ruparelia Group and Ruparelia Foundation, Sudhir has extended his helping hand towards Mirundi, a man who is very vocal about the faults in the politics and economics of the country.

Sudhir has assigned his son Rajiv Ruparelia the role of making sure Mirundi’s costs are covered effectively.

This week, after much work from the doctors and his carers, Mirundi’s condition has been reported by his family to be improving and that he is about to be discharged from hospital.
