By now we are sure many of you are aware that South African music icon Yvonne Chaka Chaka has been deported back to her native country South Africa.

According to Police, Chaka Chaka entered Uganda using an ordinary visa yet she was aware she was meant to perform at Buganda’s Enkuuka festival.

Although that is Police’s official explanation of Chaka Chaka’s deportation, People Power leader Bobi Wine says the African icon was sent packing because of her patriotic sentiments against Uganda.

“Our friends from abroad have attracted the wrath of the state for openly supporting our struggle for freedom. Today international icon Yvonne Chaka Chaka was deported from Uganda. Whatever reasons the security agencies give, we all know the regime is afraid of her songs of freedom,” the Presidential hopeful posted on his official social media pages.

Chaka Chaka was set to perform at Enkuuka, an event that ushers in many Ugandans into the New Year and it happens at Lubiri in Mengo.
