The Tusker Lite National Basketball League final playoffs is now headed for Game 7 as UCU Canons managed to secure a memorable comeback to level the series at 3-3 this evening at the MTN Indoor Arena, Lugogo.

UCU had a rocket tip off and by the end of the first quarter, they had an eight-point lead against struggling City Oilers. The score stood at 19-11.

The Mukono-based side continued to accelerate even in the second quarter though even the six-time champions became more clinical in their shooting thus gathering more. However, UCU maintained their eight-point lead at blow of the half time whistle.

Oilers once again endured another fire spit from high flying UCU as they looked to be chasing shadows on the court amidst cheers from fans that had filled the arena to the brim. UCU smiled to the fourth quarter leading 58-49.

The final quarter was no different; UCU piled more misery on Oilers and convincingly sealed the win 78-73 and immediately celebrations broke off in the arena.

The final play offs have now gone to the wire with the title bragging rights now widely open to whoever will get his tactics right in the final contest of Game 7.

The title-deciding game will be played at the same venue this Sunday, January 17, 2020.
