As we all know now, wearing a face mask is compulsory every time someone wants to step out into the public. This is aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Due to this measure, the demand for face masks has shot up and over 60 small scale and big companies have asked Standards body Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) to certify their products so that they can put them on the market.

On June 2, 2020, UNBS certified an additional four companies to produce this in-demand product, taking the total number of certified non-medical facemasks manufactures to 10.
