Just a few days after the Minister of Health warned that Kampala Metropolitan had become a risk area for COVID-19, the management of one of Uganda’s biggest multi-media organisation, Vision Group has confirmed that their staff has test positive for the deadly virus.

In a memo to staff members, Robert Kabushenga, the Chief Executive Officer of Vision Group, the employee who works at the Head offices in Industrial Area, Kampala was among the positive cases that were confirmed by the Health Ministry over the weekend.

Kabushenga said they have already engaged with the concerned authorities to have the matter handled.

“Management is tracking all possible contacts at the office and will collaborate with the medical workers to facilitate further tests,” Kabushenga said in memo.

He added that the other staff that’s suspected to come in contact with the positive employee will have to undergo self isolation for 14 days.

Vision Group is the fourth mega company to register a positive case at their premises. Eagle Holdings, Toyota Uganda and Megha Industries were the first to register and last week the Health Ministry ordered for the temporary closure of their premises.
