Women rights activist Miria Matembe has said that battle to put an end to President Yoweri Museveni’s three decade rule to an end will not be won in an election. Matembe claims it’s only the almighty God that can deliver Uganda from Museveni.

Matembe says the removal of the age limit simply declared Museveni a life President of Uganda.

“The moment Museveni removed age limit. I just said it will take God’s intervention to deliver us. My hopes are not in the elections,” says Matembe.

The former Integrity Minister asserts that is everything in Uganda as he portrays himself as the answer to everything. She says Museveni sees politics as a matter of life and death that’s why he cannot anything no matter the cost to retain power.

Matembe says Speaker Rebecca Kadaga needs to be punished for using parliament to cement Museveni’s life presidency.

“I am praying for the Speaker to go. God should intervene. She came out bragging how she participated in removing age limit,” she says.
