Revival Church lead pastor Augustine Yiga ‘Abizaayo’ was pronounced dead in the wee hours of Monday night. He died at the age of 44 years. Hundreds of Ugandans that include fellow pastors have come out to mourn him.
Ruth Mulungi, an elder at Revival Church Kawala who claims to have worked with Pastor Yiga for 16 years says the man of God died of liver related problems.
Mulungi revealed a few details in Yiga’s will. She said that the pastor commanded to be celebrated for five days before being buried inside his church.
“He wanted to be buried inside the church but we don’t know if the family will honor his request,” she said.
The deceased’s body has been transferred from Nsambya Hospital where he breathed his last to A-Plus management home in Mengo. The family is yet to release the official burial arrangements.
