Police raid NUP offices in Jinja, arrests officials

Police have raided offices of the National Unity Platform in Jinja District. The reasons for the raid are yet to be known.

According to the National Unity Platform (NUP) Spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi, Police has so far arrested an office attendant and one of the party coordinators.

By press time, Police was still at the premises and are yet to officially speak out on what the operation is about.

A similar incident happened almost two weeks ago when a joint security team raided NUP offices in Kamwokya and confiscated a number of valuables and party materials.
