Nakalema: I can’t be corrupted because I can ask for anything I want from President Museveni

On December 10, 2020, the State House Anticorruption unit led by Lt. Col Edith Nakalema will be marking two years since it was formed. Afande Nakalema who was on NBS Morning Breeze today said that in the two years, the unit has so far investigated and arraigned 247 cases before court, with 24 convictions.

She also said that fighting corruption isn’t easy but her team is very determined. When questioned whether she can be corrupted, Nakalema said that she chooses to forgive those who think she can be corrupted because she can’t be corrupted.

” Those saying Afande Nakalema can be corrupted, I choose to forgive them.I cannot be corrupted when I have a God who can give me anything, and also, I can ask for everything I want from President Museveni,” said Afande Nakalema

She also encouraged people to report corruption cases and also confirmed that police is offered to protect those that get exposed.

Afande Nakalema also said that her unit has managed to recover over UGX 1 billion and has also managed to bring back Ugandans who were stuck in the Middle East
