Retired Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde has this morning been taken back to his office in Kololo near former Lawns where he was arrested yesterday night. According to reports, the Joint Security team is currently carrying out search at the office in his presence.

However, our sources say Tumukunde is being hard on the team carrying out the operation by asking lots of questions which they seem not to answer well according to the general.

“It seems Gen Tumukunde prepared well for them,” reveals the source.

The source also reveals that over 10 people including Tumukunde’s son, are still ‘detained’ at the premises since last night.

After the arrest of Tumukunde yesterday by a joint security operation led by Director of Criminal Investigations, Grace Akullo, he was taken to the CID headquarters in Kibuli where he allegedly recorded a statement.

He was then transferred to Special Investigation Unit (SIU) in Kireka where he spent his night. Police released a statement saying Tumukunde was arrested for alleged Treason.
