Africa is of the world’s most vulnerable continents when it comes to disease outbreaks but for the case of Coronavirus pandemic, Africa surprisingly seems to be safer than any other continent as African countries have imposed a range of prevention and containment measures against the spread of the pandemic.

According to the latest data from World Health Organisation (WHO) on COVID-19 in Africa, the breakdown remains fluid as countries confirm cases as and when. The whole of Africa has rising cases with a sizeable number of countries holding out.

Southern and East Africa has the most countries that are still free from the virus. In total, Africa has 17 virus-free countries.
