Hundreds of Uganda are reported to be stranded at Dubai International Airport (DXB) following a directive from United Arab United (UAE) government to suspend all non-nationals from their country amid Coronavirus outbreak.

According to a whistleblower speaking in the video, UAE suspended all non-nationals who have not been working in the country for the past six months. A total of 6000 nationals from different parts of the world are said to be stranded as even their ATMs have been deactivated.

Such development comes when most of the countries all over the world banned passenger flights. UAE’s national carrier, Emirates Airlines will also implement their suspension directive of all passenger flights tomorrow Wednesday, March 25. The airline will only continue doing cargo flights.

The fate of Ugandans coming back home seems impossible as President Museveni directed Entebbe International Airport to be closed down from all passenger flights. Also the fact being that all the so far reported nine COVID-19 cases in Uganda are of travellers from Dubai, makes it even harder to be let return.
