Yesterday, the Ministry of Health confirmed five more Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the country that included an eight-month old baby, but there was a sigh of relief later in the night.

Dr Diana Atwine, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health announced late last night that all the 104 samples of suspected coronavirus cases tested negative for the deadly disease, and the Health Minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng confirmed the good news.

Yesterday, President Yoweri Museveni suspended all public means of transport like buses, taxis, boda bodas, and tuku tukus for 14 days. Only Police, Army, and government vehicles, waste management trucks, cargo trucks and ambulances are allowed to carry people.

Boda bodas are only allowed to carry food and other essentials, whereas public cars are only allowed to carry not more than two people, including the driver. This is intended to limit movement and contact of people which will in turn prevent the spread of coronavirus.
