Kyabazinga William Nadiope donates Shs85m to COVID-19 National Response Taskforce

Kyabazinga of Busoga William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV has joined other generous well-wishers, institutions, and investors among others to contribute towards the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in Uganda.

The Kyabazinga has handed over a cheque to the National Task Force worth Shs85 million.

“We are partnering with the Ministry of Health and other private sector players to support Government efforts to curb the spread and risk of the COVID-19 with a contribution of Shs85 million,” Kyabazinga said in a statement.

Cultural institutions in Uganda have come out and contributed relief items and cash in battle to combat the deadly COVID-19. The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi last week made a contribution of Shs100 million.

Days later, Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom also donated Shs60 million towards the same cause of fighting against coronavirus. Yesterday, President Museveni revealed that the taskforce has so far collected Shs4.4 billion and 31 vehicles in donations.
