Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has revealed that the Shs20 million that has been returned to the Parliamentary Commission by the respective members will be taken to districts where the members come from to support the respective District task force in the fight against COVID-19.

Kadaga said the money cannot be returned to Bank of Uganda yet it has emergency purposes to solve.

MPs that have returned the money include; Hon Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, Hon. Francis Zaake, Hon. Matthias Mpuga, Hon. Gerald Karuhanga, Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi and Hon Jonathan Odur.

Despite Court blocking the release of the money, Kadaga rubbished the Court Order and allowed the legislators to spend the money under their respective district COVID-19 taskforces.
