Though Tanzania’s cases Of COVID-19 continue to rise as they now stand at 480, President John Pombe Magufuli is very immovable to announce a lockdown. Magufuli has now resorted to blame games as he has accused donors of sending fake COVID-19 testing kits to Africa.

In a viral video, Magufuli claimed samples taken from a pawpaw, a quail, and a goat were taken to the country’s laboratory and were tested using COVID-19 testing kits, they turned out positive.

“The sample from a pawpaw which we named Elizabeth Anne tested positive for coronavirus. The same with those from a quail and a goat,” said Magufuli.

Magufuli said he has instructed security agencies to investigate the results from Tanzania’s national laboratory mandated to carry out the tests after he became suspicious with the many positive cases being reported.

“And on so many times, I’ve insisted that not all that is given for free is good,” said Magufuli.

It should be noted that Chinese business magnate Jack Ma, donated thousands of COVID-19 testing kits to all the 54 countries in Africa.
