Despite being interdicted from office embattled Jinja Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Eric Sakwa has vowed to die fighting while implementing whatever President Museveni assigns him to do.

Sakwa said that he is witch hunted by popular Jinja politicians because since being appointed RDC, he has intercepted lots of their dirty deals.

“All the corruption and land grabbing in Jinja is influenced by popular politicians in the region. But I have stood my ground in fighting them and this is the reason they’re blackmailing me,” Sakwa said.

Acording to Sakwa, his enemies threatened to do three things to him and they have so far succeeded in two.

“They threatened to interdict, imprison and kill me. So far they imprisoned and interdicted me. Now I am waiting to be killed,” he said.

Nevertheless Sakwa vowed not to sit back saying; “I will die implementing the directives of the president.”

Sakwa was last week interdicted from office after he was charged with manslaughter last month. In a letter from Kakanda Yunus, Secretary in the Office of the President dated May 4, Sakwa was ordered to stop exercising his duties as the RDC of Jinja with immediate effect.
