There has been a fire outbreak at Kasubi Royal Tombs this afternoon, and the Police Fire Brigade has been promptly called in to put it out and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the tombs.

Reports coming in say that the fire has not touched the bigger structure that houses the royal tombs, but it has destroyed a structure next to it known as “Enyumba y’abalongo” (House of the Twins).

Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango has said that the fire did not cause substantial damage has it was extinguished quickly by the fire brigade.
