Only five countries in Africa are yet to register a COVID-19 death, Uganda is one of them

The global community is racing to slow down and eventually halt the spread of COVID-19, a pandemic that has claimed over 500,000 lives. In Africa, the COVID-19 pandemic was first confirmed in Egypt.

And as of now, a total of 372,812 cases of coronavirus have been reported across the continent. Total recoveries stand at 179,208 while the number of deaths is at 9,511.

As of yesterday, only five countries are yet to register a single COVID-19 death despite having confirmed cases. These include; Uganda, Eritrea, Namibia, Seychelles, and Lesotho.

Uganda has 859 cases, 794 recoveries and 65 active cases. Eritrea has 191 cases, 138 recoveries and 53 active cases. Namibia has 183 cases, 159 recoveries and 24 active cases. Seychelles has 20 cases, nine recoveries and 11 active cases. Lesotho has 27 cases, 23 recoveries and four active cases.
