UPDF general dies after falling in bathroom

Uganda People’s Defence Forces’ Brigadier General Victor Twesigye has passed on at his home in Rukungiri this morning.

UPDF Spokesperson Brig. Richard Karemire says Twesigye passed on following a fall in the bathroom of his home in Nyarushange, Rukungiri District.

Twesigye had recently been appointed Uganda Defence Liaison Officer at the East African Community Headquarters in Arusha.

Twesigye is the third UPDF General to pass on in a matter of days. This morning, the Reserve Forces Chief of Staff Major Gen. Eric Mukasa passed on at Nakasero Hospital. He succumbed to cardiac arrest.

On Tuesday, bush war hero, Brig Gen. Jackson Bell Tushabe breathed his last due to multiple organ failure at Nakasero Hospital.
