Mondo hits at gym goers again – says overworking-out reduces “embokolo”

Despite the social media backlash after saying people who spend their time in the gym are poor, Pastor Franklin Mondo Mugisha is back at it again, this time saying over gyming reduces men’s “embokolo” (manhood).

Mondo was appearing on the Sanyu FM Breakfast show hosted by comedian Patrick Salvado Idringi aka Man from Ombokolo. He corrupted Salvado’s “Ombokolo” origin to come up with a cleaner way of referring to manhood as “embokolo.”

Asked by Salvado how he came to this conclusion, Mondo said; “They always come to me for prayers when their batteries are no longer charging,” he said.

The chubby Pastor says he actually works out and that what he was against is people who spend the whole day in gym.

“When do they go to work if they spend the whole day in the gym?” he retorted.

Mondo said that contrary to what people think, he is a patron to several bouncer groups, helping them to be better people and more financially sound.

“During Covid they don’t have jobs of bouncing at clubs, so they are using their energy in a farming project. They are going to meet Gen. Salim Saleh to help them out,” he said.

Mondo also added his voice to those of other pastors saying the Covid-19 lockdown on places of worship should be lifted.

However, he said he does not concur with pastors who preach Monday to Friday saying the flock should be allowed to work.
