Before the public gets over Dr Ruth Aceng’s ‘rally’ incident in this COVID-19 situation, top ruling party officials Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs Ephraim Kamuntu and NRM Vice Chairperson Eastern Region Mike Mukula have ‘did it’ and they’re on a spot for holding campaigns.

Photos circulating on social media show Kamuntu addressing a crowd in church. Kamuntu is vying t be re-elected as Sheema County South Member of Parliament.

For Mike Mukula, a video is being circulated while he was sending his political message in church in his home district Soroti. Mukula already expressed his intentions to rerun for the NRM Vice chairperson Seat for Eastern region.

Churches are among the places that have remained closed due to the fear of spread of the deadly coronavirus.

Just like Aceng, Kamuntu and Mukula are now facing massive criticism for their actions given that the Electoral Commission (EC) announced ‘scientific’ elections where it banned rallies and mass gatherings.

Presidential hopeful Bobi Wine is among those that have hit back to the officials as he shared Mukula’s ‘campaigning’ video saying; “The Museveni regime makes past despots look like amateurs!
