As many are still adjusting to the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago crossing to the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), the former Democratic Party stalwart who was yesterday unveiled in FDC has finally explained what prompted him to leave the party.

While appearing on NBS Television today, Lukwago said that he has been treated like a stranger in the DP because of the reforms I have championed.

“As a citizen, I have role to play in this country and my party had not given me the chance to play this role. I couldn’t waste my youthful years. DP has a very serious relationship problem, said Lukwago.

Lukwago also asked the DP party president Nobert Mao to check the kind of legacy that he is building for the party.

“Look at the party’s track record and the successful leaders we have had and see if you are carrying on their legacy. Are you comfortable with the house that is leaking,” asked Lukwago

Lukwago also emphasized that he has nothing personal against Nobert Mao and for all the times Mao has said derogatory things about him, he has never reciprocated the same treatment.
